WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Natalie Legue, 50, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 23, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 18, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Aug. 23, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Aug. 23, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following

  • Fail to comply with release order
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
  • Possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order

It is alleged on Aug. 6, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not be within 150 metres of any place his spouse lives, works, frequents or is known to be. It is also alleged on this date, the man was observed by police to be in possession of a stolen motorcycle. Furthermore, it is alleged the man was observed outside his spouse’s residence. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Finally, on Aug. 23, 2024, the man bound by a prohibition order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. On this date, the man was located by police and further investigation revealed he was in possession of edged weapons. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the original matter.

FAIL TO COMPLY, THEFT UNDER $5,000, USE OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Dana Cayer, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 23, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of fail to comply with probation order
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
  • Seven counts of use of credit card

It is alleged on Aug. 9, 2024, the woman was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date the woman stole an individual’s purse, was in possession of property obtained by crime and used the person’s credit card for several purchases. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Aug. 23, 2024, police responded to a disturbance call and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. She was released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, FAIL TO ATTEND

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Aug. 24, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Three counts of fail to comply with release order
  • Two counts of domestic assault
  • Domestic mischief
  • Fail to attend court

On May 26, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend, to not be within 100 metres of anywhere she may be and to not attend her residence. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, assaulted the woman and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Furthermore, it is alleged on July 9, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend court for another matter and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Aug. 24, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the Ottawa Police Service and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the original matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Tiffany David, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 22, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Aug. 24, 2024, the woman was located by police. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Sept. 24, 2024.

WARRANT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Paul Belanger, 64, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with the following:

  • Two counts of criminal harassment - repeatedly follow
  • Assault
  • Two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on May 20, 2024, the man threatened to kill an individual known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged on Aug. 14, 2024, the man harassed two individuals known to him and additionally assaulted one of them and made death threats to the other. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Aug. 24, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.  

UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Maryse Belanger, 55, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 24, 2024, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Aug. 14, 2024, the woman made threats to harm an individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Aug. 24, 2024, the woman was located by police. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Garry Pyper, 45, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 25, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Aug. 22, 2024, the man was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Aug. 25, 2024, the man was located by police. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, OBSTRUCT PEACE OFFICER

Cornwall, ON – Emilie Martin, 29, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 25, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order and obstruct peace officer. It is alleged on May 15, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is alleged on this date, when a member of the CPS attempted to conduct a traffic stop, the woman fled police. Furthermore, it is alleged, between Sept. 26, 2023, and May 15, 2024, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report in person to a probation officer and to notify the court or probation officer in advance of any change of name or address. She failed to do so and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On Aug. 25, 2024, the woman was located by police. The warrant was executed, she was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.  

USE OF CREDIT CARD, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Sarah McKenzie, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on Aug. 25, 2024, and charged with three counts of use of credit card and one count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000. It is alleged on Aug. 18, 2024, the woman was in possession of a credit card that was obtained through the commission of an offence and made three separate transactions with it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Aug. 25, 2024, the woman was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 3, 2024.
