FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with three counts of fail to comply with release order and three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on July 15, 2024, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside at a specific address, to not contact or communicate with his girlfriend and to not be within 250 metres of any place you know her to live, work or frequent. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact his girlfriend and to not be within 100 metres of anywhere she is known to work, reside or frequent. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man was with his girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The investigation also revealed the man wasn’t living at the residence he was supposed to be staying at. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Korbin Billard, 35, of no fixed address, was arrested on July 15, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged between July 25, 2022, and April 25, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to make restitution payments. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 15, 2024, the man was located at the courthouse. The warrant was executed and he was held for bail.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on July 1, 2024, the youth attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 15, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with four counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged:

  • On July 1, 2024, the youth attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On July 5, 2024, the youth attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On July 12, 2024, the youth attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
  • On July 13, 2024, the youth attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

On July 15, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – John Bazil, 50, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 6, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the item. On July 15, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Aug. 22, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, POSSESSION INCENDIARY MATERIAL

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Lessard, 30, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of possession of incendiary material. It is alleged on June 28, 2024, the man was bound by two separate probation orders with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On June 28, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person complaint and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly testing a Molotov cocktail in an attempt to commit a criminal offence. On July 15, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Leblanc, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on July 2, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to report to a bail supervision program. Furthermore it is alleged on this date, the man failed to report to a bail supervision program. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 15, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Carmela Licursi, 43, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 15, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on July 15, 2024, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not communicate with a specific individual. On this date, police conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the woman was in the vehicle with the specific individual she was prohibited from communicating with. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS, FAIL TO COMPLY, ROBBERY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Krista Grant, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 15, 2024, on the strength of outstanding warrants and charged with fail to attend, fail to comply with release order, robbery and theft under $5,000. It is alleged:

  • On Aug. 27, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
  • On Sept. 13, 2023, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to not possess any weapons. It is also alleged on this date, the woman brandished an edged weapon and robbed an individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
  • On Feb. 15, 2024, the woman attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest.

On July 15, 2024, police conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. The woman was located, the warrants were executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Jessica Wright, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 15, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 3, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On July 15, 2024, police responded to an unwanted person call and an investigation ensued. The woman was located and the warrant was executed. She was held for a bail hearing.
