WARRANT, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Ryan Mitchell, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 25, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on June 26, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 25, 2024, police located the man while dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Michael Denneny, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 25, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 11, 2024, the man was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 25, 2024, the man was located by police. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Aaron Campeau, 41, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 25, 2024, and charged with three counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on July 14, 2024, the man attended a Brookdale Avenue business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on July 14, 2024, the man attended a Vincent Massey Drive business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Furthermore, it is alleged on July 16, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 25, 2024, the man was located by police at the courthouse. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Tommy Johnson, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 25, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on June 21, 2024, the man was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 25, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed and the man was released to appear in court on Aug. 27, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 25, 2024, and charged with six counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on July 25, 2024, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his mother and to not attend his mother’s residence or be within 100 metres of anywhere she may be. On this date, police responded to an unwanted person call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in communication with his mother and was at her residence. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Sept. 5, 2024.

Later on July 25, 2024, it is alleged the man was once again bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with his mother and to not attend his mother’s residence or be within 100 metres of anywhere she may be. Police once again responded to an unwanted person call and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man was allegedly in communication with his mother and was at her residence once again. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The man’s name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Austin Perralte, 27, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 26, 2024, and charged with seven counts of mischief - destroys or damages property. It is alleged on July 26, 2024, the man damaged seven vehicles. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.
