MISCHIEF, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Jean Seguin, 58, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 27, 2024, and charged with mischief under $5,000 and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Sept. 27, 2024, the man damaged the property of an individual known to him and threatened to kill him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2024.  

ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – Adem Avci, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 27, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Assault
  • Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Assault with a weapon

It is alleged on Sept. 27, 2024, the man assaulted an individual known to him. It is also alleged on this date, the man was in possession of an edged weapon and assaulted the individual with it. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2024.  

FAIL TO COMPLY, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 28, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Fail to comply with undertaking
  • Domestic assault
  • Mischief under $5,000

It is alleged on Sept. 28, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to notify police of any change in address within 24 hours. Furthermore, it is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his girlfriend and damaged her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Campeau, 32, of Alexandria, was arrested on Sept. 28, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence. It is alleged on Sept. 4, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. Furthermore, it is alleged on Sept. 9, 2024, the woman broke into a residence and damaged property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 28, 2024, the woman attended police headquarters to address the warrant. The warrant was executed and she was additionally charged for the break and enter incident. The woman was released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 28, 2024, and charged with four counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Sept. 28, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man was bound by a second probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, to not contact or communicate with his spouse and to not be within 100 metres of any place where he knows his spouse to live, work or frequent. On Sept. 28, 2024, police responded to a domestic dispute and an investigation ensued. The man was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 29, 2024. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Sept. 29, 2024, and charged with domestic assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on Sept. 27, 2024, the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend causing injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 29, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Sept. 29, 2024, and charged with assault. It is alleged on Sept. 28, 2024, the youth assaulted an individual at a park. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 29, 2024, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

ASSAULT, SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Michael Berry, 32, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 29, 2024, and charged with assault and sexual assault. It is alleged on Sept. 22, 2024, the man assaulted a woman and then sexually assaulted her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 29, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Sept. 29, 2024, and charged with fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Sept. 29, 2024, the youth was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. On Sept. 29, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the youth breached his curfew. He was located, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Bradley Churchill, 44, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 29, 2024, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Aug. 19, 2024, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 29, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2024.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – Paul Elliot, 47, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 30, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with three counts of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged between July 24, 2024, and Sept. 26, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to report to a probation order, to notify the court or probation officer in advance of any change of name or address and to live at a place approved by the probation officer. He failed to do so and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Sept. 30, 2024, police responded to a suspicious person complaint and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police, the warrant was executed and he was charged accordingly.  He was released to appear in court on Nov. 18, 2024.

FAIL TO COMPLY, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Stephen Donnelly, 24, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 30, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm

It is alleged on Sept. 29, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man assaulted an individual known to him with a weapon and also made threats to kill the man. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 30, 2024, the man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.

UTTERING THREATS, ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH WEAPON, RESIST PEACE OFFICER, MISCHIEF, ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER, ASSAULT PEACE OFFICER WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Claude Bonneville, 31, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 30, 2024, and charged with the following:

  • Four counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
  • Assault
  • Two counts of assault with a weapon
  • Two counts of resist peace officer
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Assault a peace officer
  • Assault a peace officer with a weapon

It is alleged on Aug. 18, 2024, the man threatened to kill two individuals and assaulted one of the individuals with a weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged on this date, the man resisted arrest by attempting to flee police and subsequently damaged property. Furthermore, it is alleged, the man assaulted a police officer, assaulted a police office with a weapon and made death threats to members of the CPS. On Sept. 30, 2024, the man was located by police, who were dealing with a separate matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 5, 2024.
