Media Release - Police Operation on Carleton St. ends safely

POLICE OPERATION ENDS SAFELY

Cornwall, ON – Late on the morning of Aug. 27, 2024, the Cornwall Police Service responded to a report of a barricaded man in the 500-block of Carleton Street, as there were concerns for the individual's well-being.

Members of the CPS, including the Cornwall Emergency Response Team and Crisis Negotiators, attended the residence to assist with resolving the situation safely.

At approximately 1:30 p.m., the man was safely apprehended into police custody.

The CPS would like to thank the public and nearby residents for their cooperation and patience as police conducted this investigation.
