SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Megan Lozo, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2024, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Sept. 12, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Sept. 17, 2024, police located the woman. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 22, 2024.
WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY, FAIL TO ATTEND, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – Brianna Malcomnson, 28, of Cornwall, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2024, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of fail to comply with appearance notice, one count of fail to attend and four counts of theft under $5,000. It is alleged:
- On July 14, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Aug. 23, 2024, the woman was scheduled to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and failed to do so.
- On Sept. 4, 2024, the woman was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
- On Sept. 5, 2024, the woman was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest.
- On Sept. 7, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Sept. 9, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
- On Sept. 13, 2024, the woman attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
On Sept. 17, 2024, police responded to a Ninth Street West business for a potential shoplift complaint. The woman was located, the warrants were executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, DANGEROUS OPERATION, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED
Cornwall, ON – Noah King, 31, of Akwesasne, was arrested on Sept. 17, 2024, and charged with the following:
- Theft of motor vehicle
- Dangerous operation
- Six counts of operation while prohibited
On July 28, 2024, police responded to a stolen vehicle complaint in the area of Water Street and an investigation ensued. The investigation revealed the man stole a motor vehicle and operated the truck in a dangerous manner. It is also alleged the man was bound by several prohibitions stemming from previous driving infractions. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Sept. 17, 2024, the man was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Oct. 31, 2024.
