Cornwall, ON – Shawnna Chartrand, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on November 5th, 2020 and charged with two counts of breach of release order for contacting a certain person and failing to remain in her residence. It is alleged on November 5th, 2020, police were called to investigate a disturbance and located the woman having an altercation with a certain person, despite her conditions. An investigation ensued and during the investigation, the woman was taken into custody. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
CRIMINAL HARASSMENT
Cornwall, ON – Christopher Rockwell, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on November 5th, 2020 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged on November 4th, 2020, the man contacted someone known to him, despite previously being warned to not contact the individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 5th, 2020, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2021.
ASSAULT, PUBLIC MISCHIEF, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – Nicole Walsh, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on November 5th, 2020 and charged with assault, public mischief and mischief under $5000. It is alleged in January, the woman assaulted someone known to her and in August, further assisted another person in committing mischief, which caused damage to a vehicle of someone she knew. It is further alleged the woman made a false statement to police on October 1st, 2020 surrounding an investigation into a threats complaint. On November 5th, 2020, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2021.
ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, UTTERING THREATS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 5th, 2020 and charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats and breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged during an altercation with his common-law-wife, the man assaulted her with a bottle and made threats to kill the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 5th, 2020, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
