WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Monkland man was arrested on July 9th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged during an altercation with his common-law-wife on March 30th, the man assaulted her, as well as had contact with the woman, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 9th, a member of the Cornwall Police Service assumed custody of the man from the Ontario Provincial Police, who had arrested the man on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and he was held in custody to await a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000 x 2

Cornwall, ON – Adora Flaro, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on July 10th, 2021 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on June 30th, the woman took a bicycle that did not belong to her from outside a Vincent Massey Drive location. It is further alleged on July 10th, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2021.

 POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE X 2, BREACH

 Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 10th, 2021 and charged with the following:

  • Breach of release order (for contacting his ex-girlfriend)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (fentanyl)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (Hydromorphone)
  • Breach of probation x 2 (for being outside of his residence with non-prescribed drugs and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on July 10th, 2021, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and Hydromorphone. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2021. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 11th, 2021 and charged with domestic assault, assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on July 9th, the man assaulted his girlfriend, as well as threw a walker at her, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 11th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 14th, 2021. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE IV SUBSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING X 3 POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

 Cornwall, ON – Larry Labelle, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on July 11th, 2021 and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking (Clonazepam)
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking x 3 (Hydromorphone, crystal methamphetamine, methamphetamine)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of release order x 2 (for failing to remain in his residence and failing to be supervised by his surety at all times)
  • Breach of probation x 2 (for possessing drugs and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on July 12th, the man was located outside of his residence, despite his conditions, and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine, crystal methamphetamine, Hydromorphone and Clonazepam. He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of Canadian currency. The man was taken itno custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
