ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Deer Lake, ON was arrested on July 19th, 2021 and charged with assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted her, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT X 2, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 22-year-old man from Deer Lake, ON was arrested on July 19th, 2021 and charged with two counts of domestic assault, as well as assault causing bodily harm and domestic mischief. It is alleged between July 17-19, the man assaulted his girlfriend on three occasions and on one of the occasions, choked her. The man is also alleged to have damaged her cell phone. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 19th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 19th, 2021 and charged with criminal harassment. It is alleged the man had been standing on the property of his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite being warned to leave. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 28th, 2021. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
