BREAK AND ENTER, DISGUISE WITH INTENT, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Dustin George, 32, of Akwesasne was arrested on October 4th, 2021 and charged with break and enter, disguise with intent, and resist police. It is alleged during the early morning hours on October 4th, 2021, the man forced his way into a Montreal Road business while concealing his face and attempted to remove merchandise. Police were contacted and took the man into custody after a brief struggle. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 14th, 2021.

FRAUD UNDER $5000 x 2, UTTER FORGED DOCUMENT, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, UNLAWFUL USE OF CREDIT CARD, DISGUISE WITH INTENT

Cornwall, ON – Kristan Hewitt, 28, of Ottawa was arrested on October 4th, 2021 and charged with fraud under $5000 x 2, possession of property obtained by crime, unlawful use of credit card, disguise with intent and utter forged document. It is alleged on June 1st, 2021, the woman fraudulently deposited a stolen cheque into her bank account to obtain a quantity of money that did not belong to her. It is further alleged on June 11th, 2021, the woman used a bank card that did not belong to her, while concealing her face, in order to obtain a quantity of money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 4th, 2021, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 14th, 2021.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Hudson Cochrane, 32, of Iroquois was arrested on October 4th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend court on June 29th, 2021 for an impaired offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 4th, 2021, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended Long Sault as the man had been taken into custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and he was held in custody to await a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED

Cornwall, ON – Philip Lamarche, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on October 5th, 2021 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. It is alleged during the early morning hours on October 5th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 9th, 2021.
