WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Melanie Lalonde, 34, of Cornwall was arrested on October 15th, 2021 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on September 23rd, 2021 for a breach offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. It is further alleged the woman failed to remain in her residence, despite the conditions of her release order and another warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 15th, 2021, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

THREE INDIVIDUALS ARRESTED DURING SHOPLIFTING INVESTIGATION

Cornwall, ON – Clarissa Square, 28, Marc Dumond, 57, and Sherry Burson, 53, all from Cornwall, were arrested on October 15th, 2021 and charged with theft under $5000. Clarissa Square was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace, while Marc Dumond was also arrested on the strength of a warrant for failing to attend court. It is alleged on October 15th, the individuals attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, they were taken into custody and charged accordingly. Clarissa Square and Marc Dumond were held for a bail hearing and Sherry Burson was released to appear in court on December 23rd, 2021.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Maxville man was arrested on October 17th, 2021 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged during an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, the man made threats to harm the woman and police were contacted to investigate. On October 17th, 2021, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 21st, 2021. The name of the man was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MAN ARRESTED FOR ASSAULTING FOUR INDIVIDUALS

Cornwall, ON – Mitchell Berube, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on October 17th, 2021 and charged with four counts of assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on October 17th, the man assaulted four staff members of the Cornwall Community Hospital. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 30th, 2021.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Malinda Rochon, 41, of Cornwall was arrested on October 17th, 2021 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to report to her bail supervision program, as per her conditions, and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On October 17th, 2021, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 23rd, 2021.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, DISOBEYING COURT ORDER

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 17th, 2021 and charged with criminal harassment and disobeying court order. It is alleged between October 13-16, the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite having a court order of no contact with the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 17th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 21st, 2021. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
