SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Ronald Regnier, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on February 3rd, 2022 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on February 3rd, 2022, the man attended two Brookdale Avenue businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the stores. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 3rd, 2022 and charged with sexual assault and two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-girlfriend and being within a certain distance of her. It is alleged on January 29th, 2022, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and inappropriately touched the woman. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 3rd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Christina O’Connell, 43, of Cornwall was arrested on February 3rd, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for being outside her residence with alcohol in her body. On February 3rd, 2022, the woman was located outside of a business, where she had allegedly consumed a quantity of alcohol, despite her conditions. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, OBSTRUCT POLICE, PERSONATION WITH INTENT TO AVOID ARREST

Cornwall, ON – David Reynen, 46, of Finch was arrested on February 3rd, 2022 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance, being methamphetamine, as well as obstruct police and personation with intent to avoid arrest. It is alleged during a traffic stop on February 3rd, 2022, the man identified as someone else to police and was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 5th, 2022.
