Cornwall, ON – Amanda MacMillan, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on February 4th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged on January 13th, 2022, the woman failed to attend court for a mischief offence and police were contacted to investigate. On February 4th, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS
Cornwall, ON – Kyle Delorme, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on February 4th, 2022 and charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on February 3rd, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On February 4th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
TRAFFIC STOP RESULTS IN SEIZURE OF QUANTITIES OF METHAMPHETAMINE AND COCAINE
Cornwall, ON – Four individuals were taken into custody on the night of February 4th, 2022, after police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Arthur Street and Montreal Road. During the traffic stop, police allegedly located a quantity of a methamphetamine and cocaine, as well as a quantity of Canadian currency. One of the vehicle occupants was also allegedly in possession of a pellet gun.
During the investigation, the following individuals were taken into custody and charged accordingly:
Joey Laurin, 25, of Cornwall:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of a firearm
- Occupant of a motor vehicle knowing there was a firearm
- Careless possession/use of firearm
- Breach of prohibition order x 4 (for possessing a firearm)
Malcolm Pyper, 26, of Cornwall:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5000
- Breach of probation x 2 (for possessing unlawful drugs and failing to keep the peace)
Jeremy Myers, 27, of Cornwall:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine
- Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
Mercedes Lague, 26, of Cornwall:
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – methamphetamine
Joey Laurin and Jeremy Myers were both held in custody to await a bail hearing. Mercedes Lague and Malcolm Pyper were both released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – Clarissa Square, 28, of Ottawa was arrested on February 5th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on January 28th, 2022, the woman failed to attend court for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On February 5th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT, POSSESSION OF BREAK-IN INSTRUMENTS, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Dustin George, 32, of Akwesasne was arrested on February 5th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with possession of break-in instruments and breach of undertaking for failing to remain in his residence during his curfew. It is alleged the man failed to attend for fingerprints on January 13th, 2022 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 5th, 2022, police responded to a suspicious person complaint, where the man was located outside of his residence, despite his curfew and in possession of a quantity of break-in tools. During the investigation, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on February 5th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman failed to attend court on January 31st, 2022 for a domestic-related offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On February 5th, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as the incident stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on February 6th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged during an altercation with her boyfriend, the woman assaulted him and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Blake Harper, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on February 6th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. During the early morning hours on February 6th, 2022, police responded to a vehicle stuck in a ditch in the area of 1750 McConnell Avenue. It is alleged the man had been operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol and subsequently struck the ditch. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
IMPAIRED, REFUSAL, DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, OBSTRUCT POLICE, ASSAULT POLICE
Cornwall, ON – Shelby McNeilly, 31, of Ingleside was arrested on February 6th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, refusal to comply with demand, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, obstruct police, and assault police. It is alleged on February 6th, 2022, the woman was operating a motor vehicle in a dangerous manner while under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and conducted a traffic stop in the area of 16 Second Street, at which time the woman allegedly refused to provide a sample of breath to police, and further assaulted a police officer while resisting to be arrested. After a brief struggle she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on April 19th, 2022.
WARRANTS
Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 7th, 2022 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged between September and December of 2021, the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, as well as made threats to kill her. He is further alleged to have breached his conditions by failing to reside at a certain address, notify a change of address to police and by leaving Canada. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On February 7th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants while stopped at the Port of Entry. The warrants were executed and he was held in custody to await a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
