SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Larry Massia, 60, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2022 and charged with sexual assault. It is alleged on April 13th, 2022, the man sexually assaulted a person known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On May 18th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 28th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Armand Grenon, 43, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to attend for fingerprints on February 7th, 2022 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 18th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old woman of Duberville, ON was arrested on May 18th, 2022 and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 17th, 2022, the woman assaulted her sister and police were contacted to investigate. On May 18th, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 18th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for contacting his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged earlier this month the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite the conditions of his release order, and police were contacted to investigate. On May 18th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Cruz Scrivener, 33 of Edwardsburgh Cardinal Township, was arrested on May 18th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on May 18th, 2021, the man assaulted someone known to him, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On May 18th, 2022, he was taken into custody by a member of the Ontario Provincial Police on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant and was subsequently released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.

WARRANT, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – Steven Hopps, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on May 18th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with operation while prohibited. It is alleged on February 21st, 2022, the man took a cell phone from someone known to him, without their permission, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on May 11th, 2022, the man had been operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from doing so. On May 18th, 2022, the man was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on June 23rd, 2022.
