WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man for Cornwall, was arrested on June 2nd, 2022, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on May 19th, 2021, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate, contact, or be within 100 meters of his ex-girlfriend, and to not be any place she may be. The man was seen with her and police were contacted. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged that on June 1st, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court, failed to do so, and a warrant was issued. On June 2nd, 2022, the man attended Police Headquarters to address the matters. The warrants were executed and he was released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim in his outstanding matters.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Chase, Burelle-Menard, 23, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 2nd, 2022, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged that on January 28th, 2021, the man was scheduled to appear in court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged that on February 24th, 2021, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to check in by phone with the Cornwall Police Service every Tuesday and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. It is also alleged that on March 25th, 2021, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued. Furthermore, it is alleged that on May 24th and 31st, 2022, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to check in with Cornwall Police Service by phone every Tuesday and failed to do so on both dates. A warrant was issued. On June 2nd, 2022, the man was located and taken into custody. The warrants were executed and he was held for a bail hearing.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER

Cornwall, ON – Madison Pawis, 21, of Cornwall, was arrested on June 2nd, 2022, and charged with breaching a release order. It is alleged that on June 2nd, 2022, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and not to be within 100 meters of a certain individual. It is alleged that the woman attended an establishment where this individual she cannot be within 100 meters of was located. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on July 12th, 2022.
