ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on June 13th, 2022 and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 30th, 2022, the youth assaulted another youth known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On June 13th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Steven Coleman, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on June 13th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation order for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 10th, 2022, the man took a cellphone from someone known to him, without their permission, and police were contacted to investigate. On June 13th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 26th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Coty Casselman, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on June 13th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on April 11th, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints and an investigation ensued. On June 13th, 2022, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 26th, 2022.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on June 14th, 2022 and charged with breach of release order for contacting her ex-boyfriend and being within a certain distance of him. It is alleged on June 14th, the woman attended the residence of her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
