THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Marshall McGillivray-Seguin, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on August 12th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 14th, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as they left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 12th, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – James Wattie, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on August 12th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 12th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of 430 Ninth Street and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 6th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 12th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault and domestic mischief. It is alleged during an altercation with his common-law-wife on August 12th, the man assaulted the woman and damaged various items in the household. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 30th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Tammy Mattie, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on August 13th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on August 13th, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Baldwin Avenue and Fifth Street. She was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 6th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 13th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic mischief
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Uttering threats x 2

It is alleged during an altercation with her common-law-husband on August 13th, 2022, the woman assaulted him, damaged a mop in the residence, and assaulted the man with a knife. It is further alleged the woman made threats to kill the man and another individual known to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Brian Smith, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on August 13th, 2022 and charged with assault. It is alleged on May 26th, 2022, the man assaulted someone known to him and police were contacted to investigate. On August 13th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 20th, 2022.

WARRANTS, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Amanda MacMillan, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on August 13th, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. She was also charged with failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on June 12th and June 28th, 2022 the woman failed to attend court and warrants were issued for her arrest. It is further alleged on June 23rd, 2022, the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints. On August 13th, 2022, the woman was located by police and was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants. The warrants were executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 14th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault and break and enter. It is alleged on August 14th, 2022, the woman forced her way into the residence of someone known to her, where she assaulted her ex-boyfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 13th, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREAK AND ENTER, UNAUTHORIZED POSSESSION OF A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, THREATS, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Sarah Bombardier, 29, of Cornwall was arrested on August 15th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Break and enter
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance (methamphetamine)
  • Uttering threats
  • Breach of probation x 2 (for possessing a prohibited weapon and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged during the early morning hours on August 15th, 2022, the woman forced her way into a Ninth Street residence and made threats to harm someone she did not know. Police were contacted and took the woman into custody. During the investigation, she was found to be in possession of an edged weapon, as well as a quantity of methamphetamine. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
