ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 13-year-old youth of Cornwall was arrested on August 29th, 2022, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged that on August 29th, 2022, the youth threw a birdhouse at another person. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court at a later date. The identity of the youth was not released as per the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Tanisha Garlow, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on August 29th, 2022, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on August 23rd, 2022, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On August 29th, 2022, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on October 4th, 2022.

BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER AND PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on August 29th, 2022, and charged with breach of probation and breach of release order. It is alleged that on August 29th, 2022, the man was bound by a probation order with the relative condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and was also bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not be within 250 meters of his ex-girlfriend’s residence. On August 29th, 2022, the man was located by police less than 250 meters away from his ex-girlfriend’s residence. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old woman of Cornwall was arrested on August 29th, 2022, and charged with uttering threats, assault with a weapon, assault, and mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on August 28th, 2022, the woman threatened her boyfriend. Furthermore, on August 29th, 2022, it is alleged that the woman assaulted and threw a fan at her boyfriend, and caused damage to his property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 29th, 2022, the woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on September 27th, 2022.

UTTERING THREATS, POSESSION OF WEAPON, CARRYING CONCEALED WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – Roland Charron, 58, of Cornwall was arrested on August 29th, 2022, and charged with uttering threats, possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose, and carrying a concealed weapon. It is alleged that on August 29th, 2022, the man threated a woman that was known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, police located a knife in the man’s possession. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
