ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – Dennis Latreille, 49, of Cornwall was arrested on September 12th, 2022 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an altercation with someone known to him on September 11th, the man assaulted the victim and police were contacted to investigate. On September 12th, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on September 12th, 2022 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting his common-law-wife and attending her residence. It is alleged on September 12th, 2022, the man attended his common-law-wife’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Cameron Burley-Stone, 19, of Williamstown was arrested on September 12th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on September 12th, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as he left the store. He was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 18th, 2022.

TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO SEIZURE OF QUANTITIES OF FENTANYL, COCAINE AND METHAMPHETAMINE

Cornwall, ON – Catherine Spurr, 27, of Summerstown was arrested on September 13th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking x 3 for fentanyl
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of release order x 2 (for failing to remain in her residence and possessing weapons)

It is alleged during a traffic stop during the early morning hours on September 13th, 2022, the woman was located in a vehicle, outside of her residence, despite the conditions of her release order. An investigation ensued and the woman was taken into custody, at which time she was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and a baton. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
