POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Coty Casselman, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on September 30th, 2022 and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 30th, 2022, police were called to investigate a suspicious person complaint and located the man in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022.

CAUSING A DISTURBANCE

Cornwall, ON – Michael Mantle, 53, of Cornwall was arrested on September 30th, 2022 and charged with causing a disturbance. It is alleged on September 30th, 2022, the man had attended a Second Street business and caused a disturbance by yelling and screaming in the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 1st, 2022.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on September 30th, 2022 and charged with domestic mischief. It is alleged during an altercation with her husband, the woman damaged a piece of medical equipment in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Terisa Ditchburn, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on September 30th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the woman breached her probation order and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On September 30th, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 10th, 2022.

WARRANT, POSSESSION OF A SCHEDULE I SUBSTANCE X 2, RESIST POLICE

Cornwall, ON – Robert Martin, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on October 1st, 2022 on the strength of a warrant for failing to attend court. He was also charged with two counts of possession of a Schedule I substance and resist police. It is alleged on August 25th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a robbery offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On October 1st, 2022, police located the man while investigating an unrelated matter and took him into custody on the strength of the warrant after a brief struggle, at which time he was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and methamphetamine. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 2nd, 2022 and charged with domestic assault and mischief. It is alleged during an altercation with his girlfriend on October 2nd, 2022, the man assaulted her and damaged a door in the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Clayton, 32, of Ardoch, ON was arrested on October 2nd, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on October 2nd, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Adolphus Street and Water Street. Police conducted a traffic stop and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on October 18th, 2022.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 2nd, 2022 and charged with the following:

• Domestic assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
• Uttering threats
• Breach of probation (for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her, possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged during an altercation with his ex-girlfriend on October 2nd, 2022, the man assaulted her with a knife and made threats to kill the woman. An investigation ensued and the man was subsequently taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
