DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 60-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 27th, 2022 and charged with the following:

• Domestic assault x 2
• Mischief
• Forcible confinement
• Assault with a weapon
• Uttering threats x 2
• Breach of probation order (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on October 23rd, 2022, during an altercation with his wife, the man assaulted her, threw an object at her and damaged a television belonging to her. It is further alleged he prevented her from leaving the residence and made threats to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 27th, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Steven Coleman, 39, of Cornwall was arrested on October 27th, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 14th, 2022, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On October 27th, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. He was charged accordingly and remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 28th, 2022 and charged with the following:

• Domestic assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Uttering threats
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged between October 27-28, the man assaulted his girlfriend, assaulted her with an object, as well as made threats to kill her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS, DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on October 28th, 2022 and charged with the following:

• Criminal harassment
• Harassing communications
• Domestic mischief
• Breach of release order x 3 (for failing to abide by a curfew, contacting his girlfriend, and for operating a motor vehicle)

It is alleged the man had repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and further followed the woman in her vehicle. He further attempted to stop her in her vehicle, causing a motor vehicle collision with damage to her car. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
