Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on November 2nd, 2022 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged on November 1st, 2022, the youth made threats to harm someone known to her and police were contacted to investigate. On November 2nd, 2022, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Cornwall, ON – Carnez Williams, 33, of no-fixed-address was arrested on November 2nd, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man failed to verify his address to his bail supervisor, as per his conditions, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 2nd, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he remained in custody to await a bail hearing.
Cornwall, ON – Joseph Hebert, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on November 2nd, 2022 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on July 16th, 2022 and November 2nd, 2022, the man attended the same Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On November 2nd, 2022, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 8th, 2022.
Cornwall, ON – Crystal Bjergso, 33, of Gatineau, QC was arrested on November 3rd, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged on February 4th, 2022 and February 22nd, 2022, the woman failed to attend court for an assault and breach offence and warrants were issued for her arrest. On November 3rd, 2022, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.
