DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 11th, 2022 and charged with domestic mischief, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on September 30th, 2022, during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man damaged her laptop and police were contacted to investigate. On November 11th, 2022, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 22nd, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – Davis Cook-Lazore, 22, of Akwesasne was arrested on November 11th, 2022 and charged with operation while prohibited. It is alleged on November 11th, 2022, the man was operating a motor vehicle, despite being prohibited from doing so, when he attended the Cornwall Port of Entry. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court in December 22nd, 2022.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Devin Michaud, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on November 11th, 2022 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, over 80 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on November 11th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Sydney Street and Ninth Street. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 8th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on November 12th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on May 24th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a domestic breach offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 12th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 22nd, 2022. His name was not released as the incident stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.

WOMAN CHARGED WITH MULTIPLE FRAUD AND THEFT OFFENCES

Cornwall, ON – Amanda Lalonde, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on November 12th, 2022 and charged with the following:

  • Theft under $5000 x 3
  • Unlawful use of credit card x 5
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Breach of probation x 3 (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on November 2nd, 2022, the woman took a purse from someone she did not know, and used the bank card found within to make multiple purchases in the City of Cornwall. It is further alleged on September 16th 2022 and November 12th, 2022, the woman attended two Ninth Street businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the stores. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer on November 12th, 2022 and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on December 13th, 2022.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old Summerstown man was arrested on November 12th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 27th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a domestic mischief offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On November 12th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on December 29th, 2022. His name was not released as the incident stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on November 13th, 2022 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting her ex-boyfriend. It is alleged on November 2nd 2022, the woman contacted her ex-boyfriend, despite her conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On November 13th, 2022, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on November 22nd, 2022. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
