WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas O’Connor, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on December 2nd, 2022 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged on October 5th, 2022, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints, and further failed to notify police of a change of address. It is further alleged on October 13th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a previous fail to attend court offence. An investigation ensued and warrants were issued for his arrest. On December 2nd, 2022, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrants were executed and he remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Anton Rubias, 60, of Montreal was arrested on December 3rd, 2022 and charged with assault and uttering threats. It is alleged on December 3rd, 2022, during an altercation, the man assaulted a woman he did not know and made threats to kill a man he did not know either. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on January 12th, 2023.

ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on December 4th, 2022 and charged with assault. It is alleged on December 4th, 2022, the youth assaulted a woman known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, FORCIBLE CONFINEMENT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – An 18-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 4th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault, forcible confinement and assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged between November 23, 2022 and November 30, 2022, the man assaulted his girlfriend, choked her, and prevented her from leaving the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On December 4th, 2022, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT, BREAK AND ENTER, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Brandon Cameron, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on December 4th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with break and enter, mischief under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police. It is alleged on June 28th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a mischief offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on December 4th, 2022, the man forced his way into a Ninth Street construction site and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, at which time he caused damage to the inside of the police cruiser. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 4th, 2022 and charged with domestic assault, mischief and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 4th, 2022, the man assaulted his girlfriend and damaged her laptop. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 5th, 2022 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on October 13th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a domestic assault offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On December 5th, 2022, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the warrant stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.
