WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on January 26th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on August 13th, 2022, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not contact his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged that on this date, the man attempted to contact his ex-girlfriend through various means. Police were called and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 26th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matters. The warrant was executed and he was held for a bail hearing. His name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.

DISTURBANCE

Cornwall, ON – Michael Mantle, 53, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 26th, 2023, and charged with causing a disturbance. It is alleged that on January 26th, 2023, the man was interfering with the lawful use and enjoyment of a municipal property and surrounding area. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Pyper, 25, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 26th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged that on August 29th, 2022, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to notify Cornwall Police of any change of address and to sign in every Monday and Friday. He failed to do so and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for his arrest. It is also alleged that on January 25th, 2023, the man threatened to cause harm to another individual. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 26th, 2023, the man was located during an unrelated occurrence, the warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – A 43-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on January 26th, 2023, and charged with two counts of breach of probation. It is alleged that on January 26th, 2023, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to not contact his ex-wife, and to not contact any of his children if he had consumed alcohol. It is alleged that on this date, the man attended his ex-wife’s residence where he communicated with her and their child, refused to leave, which lead to police being contacted. An investigation ensued which revealed the man was also under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on February 23rd, 2023.
