WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 33-year-old woman of Ottawa was arrested on January 30th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on February 26th, 2022, the woman sent text messages to her ex-girlfriend threatening to cause death her and other known individuals, and to cause damage to her property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On January 30th, 2023, the woman was located in the city of Ottawa, the warrant was executed, and she was held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
FAIL TO ATTEND COURT
Cornwall, ON – Tekonwasterihatah Ransom, 38, of Akwesasne, was arrested on January 30th, 2023, and charged with one count of failing to attend court. It is alleged that on January 26th, 2023, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. On January 30th, 2023, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
FRAUD, THEFT OF CREDIT CARD
Cornwall, ON – Alain Boudrias, 46, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 30th, 2023, and charged with 3 counts of fraud under $5000 and one count of theft of credit card. It is alleged that between November 3rd and November 8th, 2021, the man stole a credit card and made unauthorized transactions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged that on December 8th, 2021, the man obtained funds using cheques that did not belong to him, nor was he authorized to use. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. It is also alleged that on September 1st, 2022, the man made unauthorized withdrawals from a bank account belonging to someone known to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On January 30th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on March 14th, 2023.
THEFT UNDER $5000, ASSAULT, BREACH OF PROBATION
Cornwall, ON – On January 30th, 2023, police were contacted in regards to a theft complaint at a Ninth Street Business. It is alleged that on January 30th, 2023, a male and female attended the Ninth Street Business, selected merchandise, and left the store without attempting to pay for it. When confronted by a staff member, the female assaulted him. Upon conclusion of the police investigation, it was determined that the male was on probation, and both parties were taken into custody and charged as follows;
- Joshua Clouthier, 35, of Cornwall, was charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation.
- Sarah Belanger-Mayer, 30, of Cornwall, was charged with theft under $5000 and assault.
Both individuals were released to appear in court on March 9th, 2023.
MISCHIEF UNDER $5000
Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old woman of Cornwall, was arrested on January 30th, 2023, and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged that on January 30th, 2023, the woman attended her former common-law partner’s residence and caused damage to his property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on February 21st, 2023. Her name was not released to protect the identity of the victim.
BREACH OF PROBATION AND RELEASE ORDER
Cornwall, ON – Barbara Cleary, 73, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 30th, 2023, and charged with three counts of breach of probation and two counts of breach of release order. It is alleged that on January 30th, 2023, the woman was bound by two probation orders. The first probation order had the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and the second had the relevant conditions of keep the peace and be of good behaviour, and to not leave her residence if she’s consumed alcohol. She is also bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not communicate with and attend a certain individual’s address. On this date, it is alleged that the woman attended the residence of the individual she was prohibited from contacting. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Investigation revealed the woman was under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
BREACH OF RELEASE ORDER, POSSESSION OF SCHEDULED AND COUNTERFEIT MONEY
Cornwall, ON - Tawnya Brunette, 35, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 30th, 2023, and charged with one count of breach of release order, one count of possession of scheduled substance, and three counts of possession of counterfeit money. It is alleged that on January 23rd, 2023, the woman was in custody for an unrelated matter, during the investigation, a substance believed to be fentanyl was discovered in the woman’s property, but she was released from custody on the unrelated matter prior to being advised of the charge. On January 30th, 2023, it is alleged that the woman is bound by a release order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. On this date, the woman was located, and a further investigation ensued. During the investigation, the woman was found to be in possession of counterfeit currency. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Labrecque, 39, of Cornwall, was arrested on January 30th, 2023, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged that on September 27th, 2022, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On January 30th, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
