WARRANTS, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 2nd, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with failing to attend for fingerprints and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on January 10th, 2023, the man failed to attend court for a domestic-related breach offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged, the man failed to attend for fingerprints on January 20th, 2023. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 2nd, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as the conditions stem from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.

VOYEURISM

Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old Long Sault youth was arrested on February 2nd, 2023 and charged with voyeurism. It is alleged on December 1st, 2023, the youth took a picture under a female youth’s skirt who he did not know. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 2nd, 2023, the youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 23-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 2nd, 2023 and charged with three counts of breach of recognizance for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between November 3, 2022 – January 17, 2023, the man had been residing with his ex-girlfriend, despite the conditions of his recognizance. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On February 2nd, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 9th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT, THEFT UNDER $5000 X 2, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Roxanne Cook, 35, of Ottawa was arrested on February 2nd, 2023 and charged with the following:

  • Fail to attend court
  • Fail to attend for fingerprints
  • Theft under $5000 x 2
  • Mischief under $5000
  • Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on January 25th, 2023, the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints, as well as failed to attend court on January 31st, 2023. It is further alleged on January 19th, 2023 and February 2nd, 2023, the woman attended two local businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the stores. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and is further alleged to have damaged store merchandise. Police were contacted and took the woman into custody. She was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
