BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 41-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on February 15th, 2023 and charged with two counts of breach of release order, for contacting his ex-girlfriend and consuming alcohol outside of his residence. It is alleged on February 15th, 2023, the intoxicated man was in the company of his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on February 15th, 2023 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. He was also charged with four counts of breach of undertaking for attending a certain business on two occasions, contacting his ex-girlfriend, and being within a certain distance of her residence. It is alleged on two occasions in February, the man attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store on either occasion. It is further alleged on February 15th, 2023, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – John Johnstone, 53, of Greenfield, ON was arrested on February 16th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 26th, 2022, the man failed to attend court for a possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 offence. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 16th, 2023, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody on an unrelated matter. The warrant was executed and he remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Dustin Beddingfield, 33, of Cornwall was arrested on February 16th, 2023 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged the man failed to attend court for a previous fail to attend court offence, as well as failed to attend for fingerprints. It is further alleged the man failed to report to his Bail Supervision Program, as well as breached his release order by failing to abide by a curfew and reside at a certain residence. Additionally, the man had attended a Second Street business in May of 2022, removed merchandise, and made no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On February 16th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Daniel Bourdeau, 47, of Cornwall was arrested on February 17th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On February 17th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.
