BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 1st, 2023 and charged with two counts of breach of release order for contacting his ex-girlfriend and being within a certain distance of her. It is alleged on April 25-26, 2023, the man contacted his ex-girlfriend, as well as attended her residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 1st, 2023, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT INDICTABLE OFFENCE

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on May 1st, 2023 and charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence. It is alleged on March 17th, 2023, the man conspired to have a youth known to him commit the offence of theft from a Ninth Street business. An investigation ensued and on May 1st, 2023, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and was released to appear in court on June 6th, 2023. His name is not being released as it may identify the youth in the matter.
