WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old man of Brighton, ON was arrested on June 15th, 2023 on the strength of multiple warrants. It is alleged between June 2022 and February 2023, the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite being warned to stop. It is further alleged on July 8th, 2023, the man forced his way into the residence of his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend and caused damages. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On June 15th, 2023, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

MAN ARRESTED FOR MULTIPLE FRAUD CHARGES

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Tessier, 28, of Cornwall was arrested on June 15th, 2023 and charged with the following:

  • Fraud under $5000 x 4
  • Theft of credit card
  • Unlawful use of credit card x 2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

It is alleged on March 16th, 2023, the man was in possession of two bank cards that did not belong to him and completed multiple purchases throughout Cornwall. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On June 15th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

ADDITIONAL ARRESTS MADE AFTER LAST WEDNESDAY’S SEARCH WARRANT

Cornwall, ON - On the morning of June 7th, 2023, members of the Cornwall Police Service executed a search warrant at a Second Street residence. During a search of the residence, police located a quantity of fentanyl, two forms of cocaine, as well as a number of stolen items. The estimated value of the seized drugs is approximately $18,500.00. As a result of the investigations, multiple individuals were found to be unlawfully in the residence. 

In addition to the arrest made on June 7th, 2023, Daniel Bourdeau, 48, James Cholette, 41, Dale Masson, 56, and Jessica Prunner, 33 have since been taken into custody and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine x 2
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Fentanyl
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Unlawfully in a dwelling house

James Cholette was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.

Jessica Prunner was released to appear in court on July 13th, 2023, James Cholette and Dale Masson were released to appear in court on July 18th, 2023, and Daniel Bourdeau was released to appear in court on August 1st, 2023.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Two 46-year-old men of Cornwall were arrested on June 15th, 2023 and charged with breaching their conditions for contacting their ex-girlfriend’s. One of the men was also charged with breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 15th, both men were observed in the company of their ex-girlfriend’s, despite their conditions to have no contact. During the investigation, they were both taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for bail hearings. Their names are not being released as it would identify the victims in the matter.
