DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 54-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 28th, 2023 and charged with nine counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend, being within a certain distance of her, attending her place of work, and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 28th, 2023, the man attended the woman’s place of work and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SEXUAL ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on June 28th, 2023 and charged with sexual assault. It is alleged on June 17th, 2023, the man sexually assaulted his ex-spouse and police were contacted. On June 28th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on July 11th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Sheri Tompkins, 52, of Cornwall was arrested on June 28th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on March 10th, 2020, the woman failed to attend court for a fraud offence and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On June 28th, 2023, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on August 1st, 2023.
