WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Michael Bayer, 38, of Ottawa was arrested on July 11th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on June 1st, 2023, the man failed to attend court for a previous fail to attend court offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 11th, 2023, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended Ottawa as the man was taken into custody on the strength of Cornwall’s warrant. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on August 15th, 2023.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 11th, 2023 and charged with domestic assault and criminal harassment. It is alleged on July 9th, during an altercation with her ex-girlfriend, the woman assaulted her and further repeatedly contacted her later that day, despite being warned to stop. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 11th, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 8th, 2023. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

FAIL TO ATTEND COURT

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 11th, 2023 and charged with failing to attend court. It is alleged on June 27th, 2023, the woman failed to attend court for a domestic assault offence and police were contacted to investigate. On July 11th, 2023, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 15th, 2023. Her name was not released as the incident stems from a domestic occurrence and would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Albert Jocko, 32, of Cornwall was arrested on July 11th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged in May, the man had breached his release order by failing to remain in his residence at all times and failing to reside at a certain address. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 11th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Shaver, 37, of Cornwall was arrested on July 11th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man forced his way into the residence of someone known to him on March 18th, 2023, causing damages to the door. Police were contacted and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 11th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on August 15th, 2023.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 53-year-old Williamstown man was arrested on July 11th, 2023 and charged with domestic assault and assault. It is alleged on July 10th, 2023, during an altercation with his ex-girlfriend, the man assaulted the woman and her mother. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 11th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 1st, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on July 11th, 2023 and charged with breach of undertaking for failing to abide by his curfew. It is alleged on July 11th, the youth returned home beyond the hours of his curfew. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. The name of the youth was not released per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
