SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – Jody Collins, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on July 14th, 2023 and charged with theft under $5000. It is alleged on July 14th, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store. She was stopped by a Loss Prevention Officer and police were contacted. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 29th, 2023.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – David MacMillan, 38, of Williamstown was arrested on July 14th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on September 30th, 2020, members of the Cornwall Police Service executed a search warrant at a Walton Street address and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation, a warrant was issued for the arrest of David MacMillan for the offence of possession for the purpose of trafficking a Schedule I substance, being cocaine. On July 14th, 2023, police located the man and took him into custody on the strength of the warrant. The warrant was executed and he was released to appear in court on August 24th, 2023.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Richard Sauve, 72, of Cornwall was arrested on July 14th, 2023 and charged with two counts of breach of recognizance for contacting a certain person and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on June 21st, 2023, the man was in the company of a person he has conditions not to contact and an investigation ensued. On July 14th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 24th, 2023.

THREATS

Cornwall, ON – Denis Cote, 44, of Cornwall was arrested on July 14th, 2023 and charged with uttering threats. It is alleged on July 14th, the man made threats to harm someone known to him. Police were contacted and took the man into custody. He was charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 15th, 2023.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Robert MacKay, 55, of Cornwall was arrested on July 14th, 2023 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on July 14th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Cumberland Street and Second Street. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 1st, 2023.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Jacob Benoit, 24, of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2023 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of undertaking for failing to notify a change of address to police. He was also charged with breach of probation for failing to notify a change of address and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 14th, 2023, the man attended a Second Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as he left the store. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 15th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 24th, 2023.

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Roxanne Cook, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2023 and charged with three counts of theft under $5000, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 9th, the woman attended a local fitness centre and removed various items that did not belong to her from the changeroom. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 15th, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 29th, 2023.

WARRANT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Stephen Donnelly, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. He was also charged with breach of release order for failing to abide by his curfew and being in the City of Cornwall. It is alleged the man had failed to reside at an address approved by his bail supervision program and a warrant was issued for his arrest. It is further alleged on July 10th, the man had attended Cornwall and was away from his residence, despite his curfew. On July 15th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – Dominick Duval, 19, of Cornwall was arrested on July 15th, 2023 and charged with refusal to comply with demand. It is alleged on July 15th, 2023, while police were conducting an investigation into an impaired operation of a motor vehicle, the man refused to provide a sample of his breath to police upon demand. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 29th, 2023.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT X 2

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 15th, 2023 and charged with two counts of domestic assault. It is alleged on July 15th, during an altercation with his girlfriend, the man assaulted her on two occasions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 8th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

Cornwall, ON – Alain Paquette, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on July 16th, 2023 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on July 16th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Brookdale Avenue and Ninth Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 8th, 2023.

MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – Robert Rummens, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on July 16th, 2023 and charged with mischief under $5000. It is alleged on May 11th, 2023, the man damaged a window at a Pitt Street business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 16th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 7th, 2023.

DOMESTIC BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 16th, 2023 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting his ex-girlfriend and attending her residence. It is alleged on July 16th, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions, and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

VOYEURISM

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 16th, 2023 and charged with voyeurism. It is alleged in July 2020, the man had recorded intimate videos of his girlfriend at the time without her knowing. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 16th, 2023, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 10th, 2023. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
