BREAK AND ENTER

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on July 18th, 2023 and charged with break and enter. It is alleged on July 15th, the woman entered the residence of her ex-boyfriend without his permission and removed a quantity of household items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 18th, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 29th, 2023. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas O’Connor, 23, of Ottawa was arrested on July 18th, 2023 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints on October 5th, 2022 and further failed to attend court on June 21st, 2023, for previous fail to attend offences. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for his arrest. On July 18th, 2023, a member of the Cornwall Police Service attended the courthouse as the man was in custody for an unrelated matter. The warrants were executed and he remained in custody to await a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Joshua Cloutier, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on July 18th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on June 15th, 2023, the man failed to attend court for a theft offence and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On July 18th, 2023, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2023.

ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 57-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 18th, 2023 and charged with assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on July 18th, during an altercation with his wife, the man choked her and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on July 18th, 2023 and charged with breach of release order for contacting his ex-girlfriend and being within a certain distance of him. It is alleged on July 18th, the man attended his ex-girlfriend’s residence, despite his conditions and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
