FAIL TO ATTEND COURT, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Renshaw-Smith, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with failing to attend court and failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on July 26, 2023, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints, and further failed to attend court on August 1, 2023 for an assault offence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 4th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Nicholas Mitchell, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 on the strength of two warrants. It is alleged the man breached his probation order and warrants were issued for his arrest. On August 4th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2023.

FRAUD UNDER $5000

Cornwall, ON – Lee Trepanier, 53, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with fraud under $5000. It is alleged on July 1st, 2023, the man used a bank card that did not belong to him to obtain a quantity of money and make a purchase. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 4th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2023.

SHOPLIFTING, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Roxanne Cook, 36, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 2nd and August 4th, the woman attended a Ninth Street business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the merchandise as she left the store on either occasion. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 4th, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2023.

REFUSAL

Cornwall, ON – Kayla Archambault, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with refusal to comply with demand. It is alleged on August 4th, while police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, the woman refused to comply with the demand to complete a standardized field sobriety test. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 7th, 2023.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH DEMAND

Cornwall, ON – Kevin Prieur, 71, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with failure to comply with demand. It is alleged on August 4th, 2023, while police were conducting an impaired operation investigation, the man failed to provide a suitable sample of breath to police. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 12th, 2023.

ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, ASSAULT, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Renshaw-Smith, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with the following:

  • Robbery with violence
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Breach of release order x 3 (for attending a certain residence, contacting a certain person and possessing a weapon)
  • Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)

It is alleged on the night of August 4th, the man attended the residence of a certain person, despite his conditions, and took a purse from someone known to him while brandishing a knife. He further assaulted the victim, as well as assaulted another person. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 26-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 4th, 2023 and charged with breach of undertaking for contacting her boyfriend and being any place he is. She was also charged with breach of probation for contacting her boyfriend while under the influence of a narcotic and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter, the woman was observed in the company of her boyfriend, while under the influence of narcotics. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2023. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

THEFT UNDER $5000 x 2

Cornwall, ON – Richard Zeran, 54, of Cornwall was arrested on August 5th, 2023 and charged with two counts of theft under $5000. It is alleged on August 2nd, 2023, the man attended two residences on St. Felix Street and removed a quantity of items from the yards. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 5th, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 7th, 2023.

OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED

Cornwall, ON – Richard Brisson, 55, of Cornwall was arrested on August 5th, 2023 and charged with operation while prohibited. It is alleged on August 5th, the man was operating a motor vehicle while prohibited from doing so. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 21st, 2023.

ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, THREATS X 4

Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 6th, 2023 and charged with assault with a weapon, as well as four counts of uttering threats. It is alleged during an altercation with his common-law spouse, the man assaulted her with a hockey stick, and further made threats to harm four other individuals. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

POSSESSION OF BREAK IN INSTRUMENTS, TRESPASSING AT NIGHT, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Dean McLaughlin, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on August 6th, 2023 and charged with possession of break-in instruments, trespassing at night, possession of property obtained by crime, and breach of probation for possessing a weapon and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 6th, 2023, while responding to a suspicious person complaint, the man was observed in possession of a tool being used to attempt to enter motor vehicles in the area. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. Later that evening, the man was allegedly trespassing on neighbourhood properties in the area of Adolphus Street. Police attended and took the man into custody, at which time he was found in possession of a quantity of stolen items. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing 

CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, THREATS X2, ASSAULT POLICE, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Michael Mantle, 53, of no-fixed-address was arrested on August 6th, 2023 and charged with the following:

  • Causing a disturbance
  • Uttering threats x 2
  • Assault police
  • Breach of release order x 3 (failing to reside at a certain address, failing to reside at an address approved by his Bail Supervision Program, and failing to notify police of a change of address)

It is alleged on August 6th, 2023, the man had been yelling and screaming outside of a Montreal Road business, causing a disturbance and interfering with traffic. Police attended and took the man into custody. While in custody, the man attempted to assault a police officer, as well as made threats to kill an officer and other officers. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Mohammed Chughtai, 27, of Cornwall was arrested on August 7th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged the man had failed to comply with the conditions of his probation order and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On August 7th, 2023, he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

THREATS X 5

Cornwall, ON – Christopher Lelievre, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on August 7th, 2023 and charged with five counts of uttering threats. It is alleged while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the man made threats to kill five police officers. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on August 7th, 2023 and charged with breach of probation for being within 100 metres of a certain person and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on August 1st, 2023, the woman attended within 100 metres of the residence of her ex-boyfriend’s current girlfriend. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 7th, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on August 21st, 2023. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Adelheid Molzahn, 72, of Cornwall was arrested on August 7th, 2023 and charged with two counts of breach of undertaking for contacting a certain person and attending their residence. It is alleged on August 5th, 2023, the woman attended the residence of someone she has conditions not to contact. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On August 7th, 2023, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2023.

THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE, OPERATION WHILE PROHIBITED, DANGEROUS OPERATION, FAIL TO STOP AFTER AN ACCIDENT, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME

Cornwall, ON – Tyler Noseworthy, 35, of no-fixed-address was arrested on August 7th, 2023 and charged with the following:

  • Theft of motor vehicle
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
  • Fail to stop after an accident
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000

It is alleged on August 7th, 2023, the man was operating a stolen motor vehicle and became involved in a motor vehicle collision in the area of Boundary Road and failed to remain at the scene. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Shortly thereafter, police located the vehicle and took the man into custody during a traffic stop. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

The passenger of the motor vehicle, Erin Annett, 38, of no-fixed address, was also charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5000. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held in custody to await a bail hearing.
