ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Stephanie Lavigne, 38, of Cornwall was arrested on August 22nd, 2023 and charged with assault and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on July 29th, the woman assaulted someone known to her during an altercation and police were contacted. On August 22nd, 2023, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2023.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON FOR A DANGEROUS PURPOSE

Cornwall, ON – A 51-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 23rd, 2023 and charged with assault with a weapon, domestic assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. It is alleged on August 23rd, 2023, during an altercation with his wife, the man assaulted the woman and held an edged weapon to her. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

SEXUAL ASSAULT, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Justin Dufresne, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on August 22nd, 2023 and charged with sexual assault and failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged in 2010, the man had inappropriately touched a woman casually known to him and police were contacted. It is further alleged on July 27th, 2023, the man failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints. On August 22nd, 2023, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on September 26th, 2023.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – Danielle Belanger, 55, of Kitchener, ON was arrested on August 23rd, 2023 on the strength of three warrants. It is alleged in 2010, the woman failed to attend court for a drug trafficking offence, as well as failed to attend for fingerprints and breached her probation order. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for her arrest. On August 23rd, 2023, she attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

ASSAULT, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on August 23rd, 2023 and charged with assault and breach of recognizance. It is alleged on August 1st, 2023, the youth assaulted two individuals she did not know and police were contacted to investigate. On August 23rd, 2023, the youth attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. The name of the youth was not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

BREACH

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on August 23rd, 2023 and charged with three counts of breach of release order for contacting his girlfriend, their child, and being within a certain distance of them. It is alleged the man had been residing with his girlfriend and their child, despite his conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. On August 23rd, 2023, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victims in the matter.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Kyle Delorme, 30, of Cornwall was arrested on August 23rd, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged between July and August, the man breached his probation order and a warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest. On August 23rd, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on October 19th, 2023.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – Marc Randy Campeau, 50, of Cornwall was arrested on August 24th, 2023 on the strength of a warrant. It is alleged on July 18th, 2023, during an altercation with someone known to him, the man brandished a knife towards the victim and police were contacted. On August 24th, 2023, he was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and released to appear in court on October 5th, 2023.
