THEFT UNDER $5000, FAIL TO ATTEND FOR FINGERPRINTS

Cornwall, ON – Elizabeth Allikas, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000 and failing to attend for fingerprints. It is alleged on April 19th, 2022, the woman attended a Cornwall Square business and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the store. It is further alleged on April 21st, 2022, the woman failed to attend police headquarters for fingerprints. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 3rd, 2022, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 9th, 2022.

DANGEROUS OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, MISCHIEF UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – Austin Thompson, 29, of Snye, QC was arrested on May 3rd, 2022 and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, mischief under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on April 24th, 2022, while stopped at the Port of Entry, the man fled the are in a dangerous manner and damaged the security gate arms. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On May 3rd, 2022, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on June 14th, 2022.

BREAK AND ENTER x 2, THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH

Cornwall, ON – John Sawatis, 42, of Cornwall was arrested on May 3rd, 2022 and charged with theft under $5000, two counts of break and enter, as well as breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on May 3rd, 2022, the man entered two residences, belonging to individuals he did not know, without permission. It is further alleged the man removed a bottle of alcohol that was outside of someone’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
