CPS Website Gets a New Look

Published on August 20, 2020

Cornwall, ON – The Cornwall Police Service (CPS) is pleased to share that its website now has a fresh new look.

Visitors will notice a change to the website layout, making it far easier to access information and key online services such as Police Record Checks and online reporting. The website is also now more mobile-friendly, features an improved bilingual platform, and offers enhanced security measures.

“It is essential for members of the community to be able to access important information through the CPS website,” said Stephanie MacRae, Communications Coordinator. “With the new website design, we want to enhance the way we connect with residents and ensure our community stays informed about what is happening in the City of Cornwall and the various programs being offered by our service."

Although the new website went live on August 19th, 2020, the CPS will be continuing to add new content over the coming months and will continue to evolve the website based on the needs of the community.

Some of the features visitors can expect to see added over the coming months include:

·         A new CPS newsletter that visitors can subscribe to

·         Improved safety tips and crime prevention resources

·         An easier way to learn about and register for exclusive CPS events, such as Bikes and Badges and recruitment information sessions

·         More opportunities for the community to connect with members of the CPS

The planning and construction to the website began in late 2019 and resulted in some internal delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CPS is eager to better utilize the website in order to keep residents informed, while developing content that is kept up to date and relevant for all members of our community.

Residents are invited to submit their feedback on the website by using the feedback form below.
