ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, POSSESSION OF A WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 12-year-old youth was arrested on July 26th, 2023, and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose. It is alleged that on July 26th, 2023, the youth approached another individual and brandished a weapon in a threatening manner. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear at a later date. His name was not released as per the provisions of the YCJA.
