DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACHES

Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old man of Cornwall was arrested on July 27th, 2023, and charged with one count of assault and three counts of breach of release order. It is alleged that on July 27th, 2023, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not attend a specific address, be within 100 meters of a specific address, and to not communicate with a certain individual. It is alleged that on this date, the man attended the address he was prohibited from, communicated with the individual he was prohibited from communicating with, and assaulted his wife. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.

BREACHES, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, MISCHIEF, THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old woman was arrested on July 27th, 2023, and charged with two counts of breach of release order and one count of assault, mischief under $5000, and uttering threats. It is alleged that on July 8th, 2023, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not communicate with her ex-boyfriend, and to not attend his address. On this date, she attended her his address and communicated with him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Furthermore, it is alleged that on July 27th, 2023, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relative condition to keep the peace and be of good behavior. On this date, it is alleged that the woman assaulted her ex-boyfriend, damaged his property, and threatened to cause harm to him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The woman was taken into custody and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH OF PROBATION

Cornwall, ON – Barbara Cleary, 74, of Cornwall, was arrested on July 27th, 2023, and charged with two counts of beach of probation. It is alleged that on July 27th, 2023, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behavior, and to not be outside of her residence if she has consumed alcohol. It is alleged that on this date, the woman was outside of her residence and under the influence of alcohol. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and held for a bail hearing.
