BREACH 

            Cornwall, ON – A 25-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 23rd, 2021 and charged with breach of undertaking for communicating with his ex-girlfriend. It is alleged while investigating an unrelated matter police learned that the man communicated with his ex-girlfriend earlier in the month despite his conditions. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 10th, 2022. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

WARRANTS 

            Cornwall, ON – Normand Paquette, 50 of Cornwall was arrested on December 23rd, 2021 on the strength of warrants. It is alleged during 2021 warrants were issued as the man failed to attend for prints and court. On December 23rd, 2021 he attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants and released to appear in court on January 27th, 2022. 

BREACH, RESIST ARREST, POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, POSSESSION FOR THE PURPOSE OF TRAFFICKING, PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME 

            Cornwall, ON – Michael Beauvais, 34 of Cornwall was arrested on December 24th, 2021 and charged with breach of 3 separate probation orders for failing to keep the peace. He was also charged with breach of probation for being in possession of fentanyl, possession of a controlled substance (fentanyl), possession for the purpose of trafficking, property obtained by crime (Canadian currency) and resist arrest. It is alleged on December 24th, 2021 while investigating a 911 call, police found the man to be in breach of his probation orders. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle and was found to be in possession of a quantity of Fentanyl and Canadian currency. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. 

BREACH, IMPAIRED OPERATION 

            Cornwall, ON – Cara Arial, 27 of Cornwall was arrested on December 24th, 2021 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and breach of a release order for being outside her residence while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. It is alleged on December 24th, 2021 the woman was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a stimulant in the area of Ninth Street and McConnell Ave. She was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. 

IMPAIRED OPERATION 

            Cornwall, ON – Joel Keats, 39 of Cornwall was arrested on December 24th, 2021 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and 80 and over. It is alleged on December 24th, 2021 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol in the area of Ninth Street and Pitt Street. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 1st, 2022.

BREAK AND ENTER, BREACH 

            Cornwall, ON – Adam Saucier, 39 was arrested on December 25th, 2021 and charged with break and enter and breach of a release order for being outside despite a curfew, not residing at a specific address and for failing to report a change of address. It is alleged on December 25th, 2021 police attended the area of Kirkman Court for a break and enter into a shed that had just occurred. Police located the man a short distance away and took him into custody. He was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. 

THEFT UNDER $5000, BREACH 

            Cornwall, ON – James MacFarlane, 37 of Cornwall was arrested on December 26th, 2021 and charged with theft under $5000 and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on December 25th, 2021 the man removed money from a residence of someone he knew and police were contacted to investigate. On December 26th, 2021 the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on March 10th, 2022. 

WARRANTS, POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OBTAINED BY CRIME OVER $5000 

            Cornwall, ON – Jessie Snider, 36 of Cornwall was arrested on December 26th, 2021 on the strength of 5 warrants and charged with property obtained by crime over $5000. It is alleged on December 26th, 2021 the man who was wanted on several warrants for failing to appear was found to be in possession of a stolen car in the area of Hamilton Cr. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. 

ASSAULT

            Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on December 26th, 2021 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an argument on December 26th, 2021 the man pushed his common-law wife and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was located by police, taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
