WARRANT, ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Morrisburg was arrested on Dec. 10, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with two counts of assault. It is alleged on July 28, 2025, the man assaulted a Loss Prevention Officer and a staff member at a Ninth Street East business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On Dec. 10, 2025, he attended the Cornwall Police Service to address the matter. The warrant was executed, the man was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 22, 2026.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 50-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 10, 2025, and charged with eight counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of mischief – destroys or damages property.

It is alleged on Sept. 5, Oct. 23, Nov. 25 and Dec. 10, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with his ex-girlfriend and to not be within 50 metres of anywhere he knows her to be. It is further alleged on each of these dates, the man was in contact with his ex-girlfriend.

It is further alleged on Oct. 21, 2025, the man damaged an individual’s property. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest.

On Dec. 10, 2025, he was located by a CPS officer. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 29-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 10, 2025, and charged with domestic assault. On Dec. 10, 2025, police responded to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his ex-spouse. He was subsequently located by police. The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Dec. 30, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 54 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
