IMPAIRED, OVER 80, OPERATION CAUSING BODILY HARM, DANGEROUS OPERATION CAUSING BODILY HARM
Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 16, 2025, and charged with the following:
- Operation while impaired
- Over 80
- Operation causing bodily harm
- Dangerous operation causing bodily harm
In the early morning hours of Dec. 16, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to the 800-block of Pitt Street for a motor vehicle collision. Two individuals sustained injuries after a single motor vehicle collided into a Pitt Street business. Further investigation revealed the driver was operating his motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
The man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Jan. 13, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 49-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 15, 2025, and charged with five counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on July 14, July 15, July 25, July 26 and Aug. 4, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for the man’s arrest. On Dec. 15, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to the Cornwall Courthouse, where the man was located. He was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 20-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 15, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with probation order and one count of fail to comply with undertaking. On Oct. 19, 2025, police responded to an unwanted person complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour and to not contact or communicate with her boyfriend. She was also bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact or communicate with her boyfriend. It is further alleged on this date, the woman was in contact with her boyfriend. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for her arrest. On Dec. 15, 2025, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
