ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 14-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 17, 2025, and charged with assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on Dec. 1, 2025, the youth assaulted an individual known to her, causing injuries. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result of the investigation, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the youth’s arrest. On Dec. 17, 2025, the youth attended police headquarters to address the matter. She was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

WARRANT, FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – An 83-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 18, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged from May 27, 2024, to July 18, 2024, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. He failed to do so, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. In the early morning hours of Dec. 18, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a Ninth Street West business for a police assistance call, and an investigation ensued. The man was located by police; the warrant was executed and he was charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Jan. 27, 2026.
