SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 48-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on July 26, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for the man’s arrest on the charge of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on Sept. 6, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, reasonable and probable grounds were developed for his arrest.
On Jan. 13, 2026, the man was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Feb. 12, 2026.
SHOPLIFTING, FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 38-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with four counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on May 28, 2025, and on May, 29, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store on both occasions without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
It is further alleged on July 5, 2025, and on July 19, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street West business, selected merchandise and left the store on both occasions without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.
As a result of the investigations, police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest.
Finally, it is alleged on Nov. 28, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared.
On Jan. 13, 2026, the man was located by a CPS officer, who was on general patrol. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
FAIL TO ATTEND
Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 7, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. As a result, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to attend court after having appeared. On Jan. 13, 2026, the woman attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed and she was held for a bail hearing.
UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 15-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. It is alleged on Jan. 13, 2026, the youth threatened to kill another student. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was later located by a CPS officer. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.
FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING
Cornwall, ON – A 36-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, on the strength of outstanding warrants and also charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is alleged on Oct. 29, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, she attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting.
It is further alleged from Nov. 18, 2025, to Dec. 30, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to report in person to a probation officer. She failed to do so. As a result, a warrant was issued for her arrest on the charge of fail to comply with probation order.
On Jan. 13, 2026, police were dispatched to a Ninth Street East business for a shoplifting incident, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is further alleged, the woman attended the Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. She was located by police, the warrants were executed and she was charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on Feb. 24, 2026.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 31-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on Jan. 13, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Jan. 13, 2026, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not go to the residence, workplace or any place his girlfriend may be present and to not communicate or attempt to communicate with the woman. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended the Port of Entry with his girlfriend as a passenger in his motor vehicle. He was taken into custody by members of the Canada Border Services Agency and subsequently turned over to the CPS. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
