FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 28-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Jan. 5, 2026, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Jan. 1, 2026, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not be within 200 metres of any place she knows the individual to be or expected to be. It is further alleged on this date, the woman communicated with the individual she was prohibited from contacting via a social media application and attended a location where the individual was known to be present. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, a Cornwall Police Service officer developed reasonable and probable grounds for the woman’s arrest. On Jan. 5, 2026, she attended police headquarters to address the matter. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Feb. 10, 2026.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old woman from Lancaster was arrested on Jan. 5, 2026, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Dec. 30, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Jan. 5, 2026, the woman was located at the Cornwall Courthouse. The warrant was executed and she was returned to cells to await a bail hearing.
