USE OF CREDIT CARD

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2025, and charged with use of credit card. On Oct. 9, 2025, a fraud complaint was reported to the Cornwall Police Service after an individual’s wallet was stolen from his unlocked motor vehicle. An investigation ensued, led by a Community Safety Officer. It is alleged on Oct. 9, 2025, the man made a fraudulent purchase with a credit card. As a result of the investigation, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Nov. 3, 2025, a CPS officer was dispatched to attend a Ninth Street West business for an unrelated matter. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY, HARASSING COMMUNICATIONS

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with 20 counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of harassing communications.

It is alleged:

  • On Aug. 4, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with a surety at a specific address, to remain in his residence at all times, to not contact or communicate with specific individuals and to not be within 50 metres of where the individuals work, frequent or any place he knows the persons to be. It is also alleged on this date, the man failed to remain in his residence, was in contact with the two individuals and was within 50 metres of one of them.
  • On Aug. 15, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with a surety at a specific address, to remain in his residence at all times, to not contact or communicate with specific individuals and to not be within 50 metres of where the individuals work, frequent or any place he knows the persons to be. It is also alleged on this date, the man failed to remain in his residence, was in contact with the two individuals and within 50 metres of one of them.
  • On Aug. 24, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with a surety at a specific address, to remain in his residence at all times, to not contact or communicate with specific individuals. It is also alleged on this date, the man failed to remain in his reside, failed to reside at his residence and emailed the individual he was prohibited from contacting.
  • On Aug. 30, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to reside with a surety at a specific address, to remain in his residence at all times, to not contact or communicate with specific individuals and to not be within 50 metres of where the individuals work, frequent or any place he knows the persons to be. It is also alleged on this date, the man failed to remain in his residence, was in contact with the two individuals and within 50 metres of one of them.

Police were contacted and an investigation ensued.

It is further alleged from Sept. 4, 2025, to Sept. 20, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with a specific individual. It is also alleged during this time frame, the man communicated with the individual, sending her numerous emails. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

On Oct. 4, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to remain in his residence at all times. He failed to do so.

On Nov. 3, 2025, the man was located by police at the courthouse. The warrant was executed, he was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with probation order and theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Oct. 19, 2025, the man was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the man attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. As a result, police formed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Nov. 3, 2025, he was located at the courthouse. The man was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.

SHOPLIFTING

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2025, and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000 – shoplifting. It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2025, the man attended a Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Shortly thereafter, he attended a second Ninth Street East business, selected merchandise and once again left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The man was subsequently located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY, CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, MISCHIEF

Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 3, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Fail to comply with probation order
  • Criminal harassment – threatening conduct
  • Mischief – interfere with any person in the lawful use, enjoyment or operation of property under $5,000

On Nov. 3, 2025, police were dispatched to a mischief call and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Nov. 3, 2025, the woman was bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. It is also alleged on this date, the woman harassed her neighbours and threw rocks at their motor vehicles. She was later located by police. The woman was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 65 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
