UTTERING THREATS
Cornwall, ON – A 30-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, and charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Oct. 22, 2025, members of the Cornwall Police Service were dispatched to a family dispute and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man threatened to kill his neighbour. Police developed reasonable and probable grounds for the man’s arrest. On Nov. 5, 2025, he attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.
WARRANT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, POSSESSION OF WEAPON FOR DANGEROUS PURPOSE
Cornwall, ON – A 45-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant and charged with possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose as well as assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged on Oct. 22, 2024, the man was in possession of an edged weapon and assaulted an individual known to him with the weapon. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. A warrant was subsequently issued for the man’s arrest. On Nov. 5, 2025, the man was located by a CPS officer. The warrant was executed, and he was later released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – A 63-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with release order. It is alleged on Oct. 21, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant condition to not be within 50 metres of any place he knows a specific individual to live, work or frequent. It is also alleged on this date, the man was within 50 metres of the complainant and refused to leave. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Nov. 5, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
THEFT
Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, and charged with theft under $5,000. It is alleged on Nov. 5, 2025, the man syphoned fuel from an individual’s trailer. Police were contacted and an investigation. The man was subsequently located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 11, 2025.
FAIL TO COMPLY
Cornwall, ON – On Nov. 5, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to a bail violation complaint, and an investigation ensued.
As a result, a 36-year-old man from Orleans, ON, was arrested and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order and one count of fail to comply with probation order. It is alleged on Nov. 5, 2025, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact a specific woman and to not be within 100 metres of her. He was also bound by a probation order with the relevant condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Additionally, a 42-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested and charged with four counts of fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Nov. 5, 2025, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with a specific individual and to not be within 100 metres of him. She was also bound by a second undertaking with the relevant conditions to not communicate with the man and to not go to his place of residence, work or any place he is reasonably expected to be.
It is further alleged on Nov. 5, 2025, the individuals attended a Brookdale Avenue business together. They were subsequently located by police. The individuals were each taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for bail hearings.
WARRANT
Cornwall, ON – A 32-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Oct. 21, 2025, the man was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Nov. 5, 2025, the man attended police headquarters to address the matter. The warrant was executed, and he was held for a bail hearing.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – A 34-year-old woman from Morrisburg, ON, was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, and charged with impaired operation and over 80. On Nov. 5, 2025, a CPS officer was conducting LIDAR speed enforcement in the area of Brookdale Avenue. The officer initiated a traffic stop in relation to a Highway Traffic Act violation. Further investigation revealed the woman was operating her motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and later released to appear in court on Nov. 18, 2025.
CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 86 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
