ROBBERY WITH VIOLENCE

Cornwall, ON – A 17-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 5, 2025, and charged with robbery with violence. It is alleged on Nov. 5, 2025, the youth attended a Second Street East business, selected merchandise and left the store without making an attempt to pay for the items. It is further alleged he engaged in a physical altercation with the Loss Prevention Officer at the business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. The youth was located by a Cornwall Police Service officer. He was taken into custody and charged accordingly under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The youth was released to appear in court at a later date.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 6, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on Nov. 6, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. Later on Nov. 6, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer. The warrant was executed and she was released to appear in court on Dec. 2, 2025

DOMESTIC ASSAULT, UTTERING THREATS

Cornwall, ON – A 42-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 6, 2025, and charged with domestic assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. On Nov. 6, 2025, police were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man assaulted his spouse. It is further alleged he threatened his step-daughter, who called police. The man was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 19-year-old man from Akwesasne was arrested on Nov. 7, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. In the early morning hours of Nov. 7, 2025, police were dispatched to a family dispute, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the man was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to remain in his residence between specific hours and to not have alcohol on his person or in his body while outside his residence. It is further alleged on this date, the man attended his grandmother’s residence, breaching his curfew. Further investigation revealed he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The man was located by police. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 65 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours (8 a.m. yesterday to 8 a.m. today).
