ASSAULT WITH WEAPON

Cornwall, ON – A 37-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2025, and charged with assault with a weapon. It is alleged on July 24, 2025, the man assaulted an individual with an object at a Second Street East business. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. Reasonable and probable grounds were subsequently developed for the man’s arrest. On Oct. 17, 2025, a Cornwall Police Service officer located the man at the courthouse. He was charged accordingly and returned to cells to await a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT

Cornwall, ON – A 44-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2025, and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Oct. 17, 2025, the man assaulted his spouse. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. He was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The man was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANTS

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2025, on the strength of outstanding warrants. It is alleged on Sept. 23, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. It is also alleged on Oct. 6, 2025, the woman was once again scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A second warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 17, 2025, the woman was located by a CPS officer. The warrants were executed, and she was held for a bail hearing.

WARRANT

Cornwall, ON – A 39-year-old woman was arrested on Oct. 17, 2025, on the strength of an outstanding warrant. It is alleged on July 24, 2025, the woman was scheduled to attend court and failed to do so. A warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 17, 2025, the woman was located while police were dealing with a separate matter. The warrant was executed, and she was released to appear in court on Nov. 18, 2025.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 35-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2025, and charged with two counts of fail to comply with release order. On Oct. 17, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence call, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on this date, the woman was bound by a release order with the relevant conditions to not contact or communicate with her spouse and to not be within 50 metres of any place she knows him to be. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was in contact with her spouse. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was held for a bail hearing.

DOMESTIC MISCHIEF, DOMESTIC ASSAULT, DOMESTIC ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM

Cornwall, ON – A 46-year-old man from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 18, 2025, and charged with the following:

  • Domestic mischief
  • Domestic assault
  • Domestic assault causing bodily harm

On Oct. 18, 2025, members of the CPS were dispatched to an intimate partner violence complaint, and an investigation ensued. It is alleged on Oct. 18, 2025, the man damaged his girlfriend’s property. It is also alleged he assaulted the woman and choked her. The man was located by police, taken into custody and charged accordingly. He was held for a bail hearing.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Cornwall, ON – A 24-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 18, 2025, and charged with fail to comply with undertaking. It is alleged on Oct. 18, 2025, the woman was bound by an undertaking with the relevant condition to not contact her ex-boyfriend. It is also alleged on this date, the woman was in contact with her ex-boyfriend. She was located, taken into custody and charged accordingly. The woman was later released to appear in court on Nov. 27, 2025.

CALLS FOR SERVICE: There were 169 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend (8 a.m. Friday to 8 a.m. today).
